Skyduck: A Chinese Spy Comedy (2019)

Premiering in 25A at Belvoir St Theatre, Skyduck received two honourable mentions in Timeout and Audrey Journal for ‘Best of 2019 on stage in Sydney’, as well as earning Sam a nomination for Best Male Lead in an Independent Production at the Sydney Theatre Awards 2019.

A bilingual solo show utilising AV, puppets and musical numbers, Skyduck is a quirky and irrelevant parody of China’s top secret agents attempting to steal America’s top fighter jet software in the early nineties - all while Australia was busy preparing for the Sydney Olympics!

Think Chinese Top Gun with 007 to a J-Pop backing track!

Ping-Pong Death Match (2012)

Watch this hilarious, original solo comedy written and performed by Sam Wang as part of Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School's graduating season of solo works.

Set in the 1987 Paris World Table Tennis Tournament, Ping-Pong Death Match follows the misadventures of two Chinese secret agents trying to obtain the latest Soviet military technology whilst being chased by a Christopher Walken inspired NSA officer.

The full length version of this solo, Skyduck: A Chinese Spy Comedy, will be premiering in Sydney as part of Belvoir's 25A Season 2019.

Life Inside an Egg is so Unglamourous (2010)

Inspired by Avenue Q and the films of Michel Gondry, this delightful and original music video offers a unique insight into the life of a baby albatross still waiting to break out of his shell.
